Yoganamics is designed for all ages and all physical conditions. It is intended to guide you to observe the unique dynamics of your physical and emotional bodies while releasing tension, boosting energy, and increasing mobility and flexibility, particularly in folks suffering from chronic issues such as arthritis, low back pain, tight hip flexors, hamstrings, fibromyalgia, sciatica, and fasciitis. Class Description:

Contemplative Education: Transforming Patterns for Emotional Clarity

Welcome!

This class offers a grounded approach to human development through classic spiritual concepts for conflict-resolution, designed to positively support individual and group transformations while learning fundamental orientations for achieving emotional clarity in decision-making.

What is Contemplative Education? Contemplative Education is the art of learning to think with clarity by becoming aware of the patterns that shape our decisions, relationships, and sense of self. Many of these patterns formed early in life—often in response to trauma or instability—and while they may have helped us survive at one point, they can later become barriers to healthy growth.

Through guided contemplation, we learn to recognize these habitual patterns, step back from identifying with them, and gradually transform them into choices and behaviors that support balance, self-respect, and healthier relationships.

How This Differs from Meditation: This is not about avoiding thoughts or silencing the mind. Unlike meditation, which often focuses on quieting mental activity, contemplation is the practice of engaging with our thoughts—examining them closely, understanding their origins, and refining how we respond.

What You'll Gain: Our process engages deep reflections for gaining positive insights and command over the role that negative patterns play in dealing with the roots of anxiety, stress, or disconnection. The aim is to develop both emotional clarity and the ability to make decisions from a place of steadiness rather than being reactionary.

Authentic Guidance: If you are seeking help based on genuine experience for finding a creative way forward, the firm foundations of this work come from having successfully traveled a similar path. Over time, this practice helps untangle limiting patterns, allowing for the development of new ones that nourish personal well-being and positively influence the people and environments around us.

Join us in discovering how contemplative awareness can transform not only your inner landscape but your capacity to navigate life's challenges with clarity and grace.

Meet the Instructor:

Rev. Jessica Richards

Bio:

I am Rev. Jessica Richards, and I understand the courage it takes to seek healing and transformation—because I've successfully walked that path before.

Aside from my work being grounded in a decade of study under Rev. Gola Wolf Richards, B.A., Human Development, M.A., Theology, at the Institute for Contemplative Education, I also have my own lived experience, of moving from trauma and confusion toward clarity and wholeness.

Having navigated the deep wounds of childhood abuse and toxic relationships, I know intimately what it means to question your worth, to feel lost in patterns that failed to serve you, and to wonder if genuine peace of mind is possible.

My journey toward healing became possible through the gift of becoming a part of an emotionally mature family—my husband Rev. Ryan W Richards (Human Development Educator & Spiritual Care Provider) and my father-in-law Rev. Gola Wolf Richards—who showed me what healthy love and support actually look like. Through their steady presence and wisdom, I began the profound work of breaking intergenerational patterns; and learning that a functional family isn't sustained simply through blood relations—but bonds rooted in emotional maturity and mutual respect.

This understanding has become central to my approach to conflict-resolution. When we can heal our deepest relational wounds and create healthy social patterns—whether in our homes, workplaces, or communities—we lay well-composed foundations for the stable development of peace of mind.

My own healing continues as a daily practice; which means I understand that transformation isn't a destination—it's a courageous, ongoing choice to become more healthfully yourself; while playing an active role in supporting and magnifying health, among the connections that we all deserve.
